You can assist us by making a one-off or ongoing financial donation to help fund our operations. Donations of any amount are appreciated and donations of more than $2 are fully tax-deductible.

Leaving a Bequest

Leaving a bequest to Good Samaritan Industries in your Will makes a lasting contribution towards the creation of meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Winning the annual Sarah Potter Award, funded by a bequest, helped Clinton McLachlan to buy a computer and led to him meeting his wife, Diane, over the Internet.

Types of bequest
A bequest may be in the form of a fixed financial contribution (known as legacy), a proportion of your estate, or perhaps an asset from your estate, such as property or furniture.

Become a 'Friend'

The Friends of Good Samaritan Industries are a very special group of supporters who go the ‘extra mile’ to help us achieve our goals. Our Friends assist the organization in a variety of ways – finding innovative ways to raise revenue to fund our operations, helping to promote the mission and activities of the organization.

The organization awards supporters with membership of the Friends network in recognition of significant work on our behalf. Here are just a few ideas to get you started:

  • Run a donations drive with all your friends, workmates or classmates and arrange for us to collect goods.
  • Organise fundraising events for us, such as jumble sales, raffles, fundraising dinners, auctions etc.
  • Personal donations are also very appreciated and a regular donation from your salary before tax is a good way to help without denting your wallet.
  • Promote Good Samaritan Industries by distributing leaflets at any events you are involved in, encourage people you know to come for a tour of our warehouse to find out more about us, and promote our commercial services to your business associates.
  • Become a Bin Buddy to help us maintain our donation bin sites in your area, and let us know if bins are overflowing or have been vandalized or graffitied.

As a Friend of Good Samaritan Industries you will be invited to store openings, open days, launches and regular social events throughout the year to show you how your contribution is making a real difference.
