Good Samaritan Industries is able to sustain its mission of providing employment opportunities to people with disabilities through our commercial operations, most notably our iconic Good Sammy stores and donation bins. This generates over 60% of our funding. Another major stream of funding comes from the Commonwealth Departments of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. Together they provide 29% of our funding to provide employment services to people with disabilities. Good Samaritan Industries has an operating income of $17m and expends this on staffing and property costs related to maintenance of our retail outlets:
